Tom Corbett and Happy Valley:The Making of an Attorney General into the Governor of The State Of Pennsylvania

Tom Corbett, the Governor of Pennsylvania has allot of explaining to do.  Actually the facts speak for themselves.  Governor Corbett served as the Attorney General before he became Governor.  It seems that this case has been held back, until after Governor Corbett won his Gubernatorial Election.  This was said to have been done so that they could get an "iron clad case."
This is all complicated by the fact that Governor Corbett took a position on the Penn State Board of Trustees, while the Sandusky investigation was underway.  Among other things Governor Tom Corbett also gave a tax payer funded 3 million dollar grant to Mr. Sandusky's non-profit group Second Mile.  All the while Governor Corbett, you were privy to the information that Mr. Sandusky was a serial child molester.  And that Second Mile was just another way for him meet disadvantaged young men to pray upon.

A Republic - if you can keep it !

" As Benjamin Franklin was exiting after writing the U.S. constitution, a woman asked him "Well, Doctor, what have we got—a republic or a monarchy?". He replied "A republic—if you can keep it."
The Founding Fathers were very critical of democracy, especially direct democracy, they saw a danger in majorities forcing their will on minorities, and a constitutional republic was formed. James Madison goes into detail about this in the Federalist Papers, specifically Federalist 10.

Indifference ; That's not OK

I like data, translated it becomes information, information put on charts and graphs can be very powerful, so I use charts and graphs when I can to visually augment a blog, article, or story. I used a world population graph on my Occupy Movements Face book Page to illustrate how small the United States was graphically compared to other regions and countries in the world.  Just 4.6 % of the world's population.

Deregulation : Breaking the Law

Deregulation sounds like a word that was specially crafted from a political focus group. It sounds innocent, righteous, echoing freedom from an oppressive state. It feels like the path to being released from an unfair burden or impediment which would allow corporations to meet their capitalist potential, and bring great benefits to society far and wide.

4.6 %

People often seem puzzled how corporate profits have rebounded since the Great Recession, with many corporations making record earnings, Wall Street booming and the Dow Jones, S&P500, and Nasdaq Indexes at or near historical highs.

ERROR CODE 347 : SYSTEM FAILURE

In the United States of America we have a long tradition of petitioning our government for redress of grievances. The right, not the privilege to do so was empowered to us in the U.S. Constitution by the Founding Fathers of this country who knew the importance of keeping “human” citizens at the center of the Constitutional Republic. They did this in the Bill of Rights, First Amendment.

Common people across all demographics have used the First Amendment as a means to freely assemble, express their freedom of speech, and when necessary use nonviolent civil disobedience to raise awareness about social injustice, or a lack of government accountability to them or their issues.

Defunding Hate

Some 35 years after Roe vs. Wade women are still the victims of religious ideology embedded in government, and special interest who use this controversy to keep the time and energy of the American people focused on an issue that divides them, instead of issues that might unite them.

Nationwide Voter Suppression : Another Assault on the 99% Civil Rights to keep 1% Policies

For some time now there has been “creative design” by the republican mind going on when it comes to the phantom pain of voter fraud. But since the 2008 elections in states where republican legislatures dominate, laws have been passed that resemble what use to be called a poll tax, which in today’s terms would equate to provisions that intimidate, inhibit, or obstruct an individual from voting due to politically applied complexity, or increased physical, emotional, social, or economic  impediments.
